I can imagine. It was pretty hot when I was there, and I was told it becomes quite unbearable in the summer months.

it does. last year during our uni excavations with the archaeology department we had a heatwave... 44 degrees. and us little students stuck in a trench digging away in the sun. olé.

Sounds almost fun, but no doubt I'd soon start complaining about the heat. As much as I hate the British weather, one thing we don't get is any sort of extremes; just boringly moderate in every direction!
